Andrea Maria Garay, located in Tuscaloosa, AL., is a Salvadoran graphic designer dedicated to building inspiring brands and making business dreams come true. With experience spanning various areas, including branding, packaging, and motion design, Andrea has developed a style that combines the synergy of playful experimentation with polished sophistication. She believes design is not only about aesthetics, but also about practicality and functionality in creating memorable experiences and making an impact.
Over the course of her career, Andrea has partnered with clients across professional and academic settings, refreshing student organizations’ branding, establishing professional marketing campaigns, and contributing to creative teams on larger-scale print projects. She aims to develop visually compelling and interactive art that succeeds aesthetically and strategically. Currently, she serves as the Senior Graphic Designer at The University of Alabama’s Barefield College of Arts and Sciences Communications Team, where she provides creative direction for the annual Collegian magazine and develops impactful designs for the College’s brand, events, and publications.
Beyond her client work, Andrea has also won several local and regional recognitions. Awarded by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), she received a District 7 Silver ADDY Award in Sales and Marketing Promotion for her food and beverage line, Chump Chugs. Andrea has also participated in the Student Government Association and the University Libraries’ 3rd Annual Student Art Exhibition and designed the Barefield College of Arts and Sciences Holiday Card in 2024.
