University Programs is a Student Life department that plans, promotes, and executes over 150 events every year. This ranges from their smaller to bigger scale events, including Weeks of Welcome, Tied with the Tide, and more. It is the central location for all on-campus programming. Apart from engaging with students, they assist in sharing our resources and expertise to other campus departments, student organizations and community parters in terms of planning, promotion and implementation of events.
Their mission is to create engaging events wheres all students feel welcome, find support, and build community.
Part of being an Executive Team Lead was to develop the annual branding identity and provide creative direction for bigger-scale events. For 2025, their branding was inspired by traditional symbols rooted in The University of Alabama’s history. From Denny Chimes to the squirrels running around The Quad, the brand image combines the energy of our spirited community and the tradition we carry in our roots. Inspired by pop art, their branding identity has adopted a comic-like aesthetic with thick outlines, vibrant colors, and dynamic framing.
